As Managing Partner of the accounting firm Weinstein & Weinstein, PC, Steven Weinstein knows that some things never go out of style. Clients seek the same quality standards in an accounting firm today that they did back in 1929, when Weinstein & Weinstein first opened its doors: knowledge, experience, and integrity. As someone who is able to work on his clients' behalf with the IRS, the State of New Jersey or the State of New York, Weinstein knows that people are looking for him to serve as a personal advocate; someone who can protect and safeguard their best interests. He knows that it is important for his clients to be able to access him quickly and easily when a question or concern arises and his flexible schedule reflects that commitment.

Weinstein, who received a B.B.A. in Accounting from George Washington University and a M.S. in Taxation from Pace University, developed an interest in Accounting at an early age. During college breaks he worked at the family firm, which was founded 87 years ago by his great uncle in New York City. In 1986, the firm moved to Teaneck, New Jersey under the guidance of his father, Philip Weinstein. Continued diversification enables the firm to service a wide range of industries: clothing, furniture, jewelry, laundromats, metal fabrication, research and development, beauty salons, photography, printing, real estate and professional services. Their ongoing experience, understanding and interpretation of the latest tax laws help clients face today's complex and ever-changing business environment and lay a sound business foundation for the future.

Although business hours consume a large portion of his time, Weinstein still manages to find time to volunteer.

Weinstein has held a seat on the Bergen County Small Business Development Center Advisory Board. In January, 2010 he was appointed to serve on the New Jersey State Board of Accountancy. He was a volunteer consultant for the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission's "Business Accelerator Program" and has served as past president of the Teaneck Chamber of Commerce, secretary of the Teaneck Economic Development Corporation and was appointed to the Holy Name Hospital Financial Planning Council. He formed and/or chaired numerous committees in Fair Lawn, such as Open Space Committee, Shared Services Committee and ADA Committee. Weinstein's accounting background is often put to good use, as it helps him analyze issues, think of many alternatives and reach a proper solution.

Weinstein whole heartedly endorses the concept that you "have to enjoy what you do". Nevertheless, he is thankful for the encouragement he receives from his wife and children, whose support help him balance his family, work and government obligations.
